Good News!

It has been very overwhelmed at our nest!!! Not only we got Snow Belle, now we have additions to our crib. Snow Belle gave birth to 4 little cute white & gray kittens - 2 males & 2 females. The kittens popped out last Sunday after we came back from church. It was on Easter Day! We immediately took out the camera and started to snapped this memorable day. We're so glad to have these kittens with us. Not too sure if we wanna keep all of them. We are still in considering tho' :) Gosh, they are way too stinkin' cute!!!

p/s: Now you know why I have not been updating the blog. Hehe!

Snow Belle

OMG! We're so excited to announce to you that we have a pet. Our precious cat named, Snow Belle. Thanks Alia for suggesting the name cause it's so her! She is as white as snow and she has a pink bell. Perfect! BTW, Alia is her godmother. How cool can that be? She used to have 2 cats too :)

Snow Belle has been with us 2.5 weeks now. We love her so much ever since she came into our lives. I personally, never thought of having a cat as a pet because I dislike cats but Snow Belle is different. Just something bout her :) Finally I have the time to showcase this beautiful pet of ours. She's so natural in front of the camera! We are truly the proud owner of Snow Belle! Woo hoo!

Missions Trip to Kampung Tekir

Last Saturday, our church sent us out to this Orang Asli village called Kampung Tekir at Seremban. It was an hour drive from Kajang. As soon as we reached, the children greeted us with their beautiful smiles. I can see that they were eagerly expecting for our arrival. Every week, they are a few of our church members who goes there to teach these kids reading and writing. Mostly are mothers. The minute we arrived, the children swarmed the church and sat down patiently for us to set up. We sang, played games and also did a simple bookmark. Just by spending 1.5 hours with them, we could see the joy in their precious face. Besides all the fun they had, we also bought them stationeries and yummy goodies for them. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank a generous and a good friend of mine, M for the sponsorship of the goodie bags! The children loved it! To thank us, the Kampung Tekir community gave us 2 bunches of bananas. Eric loved it so much that he didn't mind posing for me. LOL!

arly this morning, we did another photo-shoot at KLCC park. This time, it's for the Betty's, we were looking forward to this shoot as much as they were. The cool morning contributed to a great start, it wasn't a typically warm saturday though... as soon as David, Darlene, Carter, & Christian arrived, we started working the shutter. We have to say that the Betty's are absolutely photogenic, their poses were creative & natural as well. The boys (Carter & Christian) were so natural in front of the camera too, we framed quite a number of pics of them having fun at the park. As for the loving mum & dad (David & Darlene), they had some pics taken too. We sure hope that they have had a pleasant experience & will like the final pics when they are done up.

Yesterday I joined an online crop challenge from 9pm-12am, hosted by Wati @ Scrap-N-Crop. Pineapple Jam Tarts

During the Thaipusam break, we made pineapple jam tarts at my mother-in-law's house. We decided to bake it for the upcoming CNY. Tell you something ... CNY is not complete without jam tarts. In the beginning, mum showed us how to make the dough and to myu surprise it's quite simple :) After that, it's our turn to do the tarts from the beginning to the end. It was really fun! Oh yeah, the tarts were so delicious. You may ask Teacher Alia about that. LOL! Below are some pics of us making it.

Today, my good and generous friend gave me a CutterBee scissors. It's definitely not a normal scissors. It has a pointed tip and it's very sharp! Two thumbs up for it and I just LOVE it! With the new gift, I did an altered project. Eric asked me to do something for his colly cause they have this 'special friend' game. Something like 'guardian angel' thingy. Oh yeah today Eric baked me a pizza. Our client and friend, Michelle taught us how to do this yummy-licious top. I enjoyed every bite and so happy knowing that Eric took the effort to cook for me! What can I ask more? So here it is ...

Samantha booked us on the December 29th, 2007 for a family photo shoot. Another great bunch of people to work with. They were easy going despite some of them were camera shy except for Sam's dad. He loves to be photographed & on top of that he's a yoga instructor. He's 70-year-old energetic man I should say! Plus he has a beautiful wife. Don't you think so? They are definitely one BIG happy family! We loved hanging out with them. Oh yeah, they were so kind that they bought us dinner yesterday! We're just so fortunate to have great clients like them!

My dad, brother, sister & my precious nephew, Constantine came to visit us on Christmas night. My dad actually came earlier in the morning because we had an open house for lunch. Will post those pics later. It has been some time I last seen my siblings and my nephew. Papa Chris stays in Kajang so I meet him often. We had great time posing in front of the camera except when I wanted to pose, Eric will snap for us. Obviously Constantine was the limelight of the day! He was so curious about everything! He's just too cute :) I really wish mum was here with us. She passed away one and the half years ago. I missed her alot especially festive seasons like this. Anyways, enjoy the pics. Last Friday, I went Christmas shopping with Elaine at Mid Valley. It was really fun because we seldom go out together! At first, our shopping was very relaxing but around 1pm Elaine told me that her sister asked her to be back by 3pm. In a sudden we have to shop in pressure. Guess that made our mind became alert and be focused of what we should get. Haha. I definitely bought alot of pressies for Eric! I'm sure he's gonna love all his gifts! Oh yeah, my friend & client, Michelle was so sweet. She purposely dropped by Mid Valley to give me a beautiful altered blue box. She really surprised me with that! Her kids, Clarissa & Sean painted Christmas ornaments for me. How adorable! Thanks guys. You must go to MV because the Christmas deco is superb! I love every single Christmas trees there, just ask Elaine bout it! Thank goodness, she brought her camera. BTW, Eric edited the pics. Nice huh? Among the whopping 1500 pics that we shot at Cambodia, was this beautiful flower. Don't know much about flowers, but quite sure I've never seen one of these before. The amount of details that can be captured at 10.2 mp is simply breathtaking. Pic was taken with aperture priority mode at 1/320 sec, f/5.6, & ISO 200.

Mission Trip to Cambodia - Day 9 to 10

Day 9 & 10 was all about LEISURE & FUN! Besides buying souvenirs and eating yummy-licious food, we visited the S21 Museum in Phnom Penh. Khmer Rouge, a communist guerrilla group led by Pol Pot tortured thousands of Cambodians on April 17th, 1975. It was a very sad place and you can imagine what the people had went through. So much pain & misery! After that, it was more shopping again. Cambodia is definetely a great place to visit and do consider it. Aight?

Mission Trip to Cambodia - Day 5 to 8

Day 5 - We got to go out for breakfast this time. It was a 15 mins journey to the retaurant. They serve yummy food and coffee. We also went back to Sunshine Home again for another Children Ministry. This time Joel shared the parable of the prodigal son to the children. He was such a great 'silly' story teller. After that, we went back to the church for a service.

Day 6 to 8 - We organized a youth camp for the youth in Kg Speu church for 3 days. Pas Cal, Eric, Joel & Tim did workshops with them. Hannah & Charlene shared testimony how God blessed them in their lives. Of course we had games again, conducted by Ken Wai.

Mission Trip to Cambodia - Day 3 & 4

Jimritsu is a Cambodian greeting. Just like our hello's.

On the 3rd day we were brought to an orphanage home called Sunshine Home. The children there were polite and greeted us warmly. We did many activities with them ie. craft work, played games and prayed for them. In return, the children at the home entertained us with their performances, dancing & singing. We enjoyed our visit there. In the evening, we went back to the church to conduct English & Music classes.

Telematch for the youth was being held on the 4th day. The Cambodian youths were so energetic and enthusiastic. They gave their best in everything they played!

Water is extremely precious in Cambodia as it is very expensive.
To save water, they collect rain water to wash clothes, mop the floor, and clean the house.

These are the beds where children at the Sunshine Home laid their heads to rest.
They have no mattresses but only mats. Children in Malaysia are just so fortunate!

Mony is so creative that he glued the cotton to his face.

Cambodian girls are so pretty. Agree?

was used to teach the Cambodian musicians.

Eric was teaching Curly some techniques on the guitar.
Curly is also our translator. He speaks good English.
We are just blessed to have him around :)

Chee Onn was explaining the chords to Chanty.

Ken Wai was teaching the right strokes on the drums.

Joel was showing the proper ways to play the bass.

Curly was explaining some rules & regulations of the games.

We taught the Cambodians to play 'Captain Ball'. They had a blast time!
The girls were extremely aggressive. LOL!

After the telematch, we just sat and sang songs.
Enjoying each other's company. It was awesome!

Mission Trip to Cambodia (Nov 21-30, 2007)

Day 1 & 2

Cambodia is a land full of beautiful people & culture. The food was extremely yummy. Our mission there was to bless the community in Kampung Speu, mainly children & youth.

On the 1st day, we arrived Cambodia around 8.30pm. We stayed in one of the missionary's house which belongs to Pastor Kala. She is our home-church missionary to Cambodia. Our first night wasn't pleasing as there were loads of insects flying around in the house. On the 2nd day, we begun our day by conducting a preschool activity at the church. We taught them about Christmas and also did christmas tree artwork with them. After that, we were brought to visit a village and had a children ministry there. The village was in a sad situation where children ran around without shoes and wore dirty & torn clothes. Some houses don't have power & water supply. It was heart-breaking to see such condition. They were all so excited when they got goodie packs that consist of candies, chocolates & bubble-blowing. It was an awesome sight to see the joy in the children faces. Later in the evening we went back to the church which is just opposite Pas Kala's house to conduct english and music classes. The students were so eager to learn and paid alot of attention in the class. They were fast-leaner too. Most of our activities end at 8.30pm as Cambodians sleep early and get up around 5am. We managed to cope with their lifestyle after day 2. For your information, I'll update the pictures day by day since there are around 200+ pictures to share with you all. On Saturday, we shot an absolutely beautiful wedding (at least to me... LOL!) for KC & MS at our church in Kajang. It was our very firt experience with wedding. KC & MS were such a sweet couple and a pleasure to work with all the way. MS was so radiant and beautiful! The decoration was awesome. Wow, it has been ages I did not do any posting! I was really caught up with Cambodia's Fund-raising & school concert. It was alot of work & needed alot of my attention too. Every now and then I'll relax my mind by doing scrapbooking. Not really relaxing but just diverting my mind to something else. Haha!

Leader's Retreat

Last Saturday & Sunday, we went for the leader's retreat at Port Dickson. This time we combined it together with the Children ministry. It was a great one where we discussed the strength and weaknesses of Powerhouse. Besides doing serious stuff, we did enjoy ourselves at the beach. Both Eric & I did not swim because sea is not really our thing. Of course there were quite number of people reserved themselves from the sea for various reasons :) We managed to snap pictures and we also did alot of 'jumping in the air'. I will post those & others later. Haha! It was an enjoyable break. And of course I transformed photos into scrapbook style :)

My Birthday - Part 3

Yesterday, I had my birthday party with people that I love & care and also with some of the youth at our love nest. Before the party started, Nicki, twins & I went for a swim. We were goofing around most of the time. The party finally begun at 7.30pm. There were plenty of food. Thanks guys for contributing food & yummy desserts to the party. Actually it was like a pot-luck style. I had 3 different kinds of 'cakes'. Twins & Fong brothers bought me a Secret Recipe cake - Chocolate Indulgence. Nicki baked cookies with my name on it. Of course, my precious mui, Elaine also baked me cupcakes with the word Happy B'day Jessy. Eric bought everyone a party popper and at the end of the loud birthday song everyone sang, we popped the popper! The confettis were everywhere but that was part of the fun :)

Besides eating and eating some more, we also had 'Blessed Draw' and fortunate 8 people got pressies. Pas Calvin was asked to pick a name and guess what... he got his own name! Haha. Charade was the next event. Everyone definately enjoyed this classic game because everyone laughed so hard especially when it was Nicki's turn! Around 10.30pm the party ended at our nest but some of the youth decided to go down to the pool for a swim. They tried the slide and some got stuck halfway. It was hilarious. Shaun was on full speed that everyone got splashed when he reached. Well, it was an awesome party. I knew that everyone had fun. Once again, thanks for celebrating my birthday. You guys just know how to party :p

My Birthday - Part 2

The dinner was at KAMPACHI, Hotel Equatorial Bangi. The food was so fresh and just so yummo-licious. Japanese food is our all-time favourite food. Not gonna write much, just admire the pictures ok. Make sure you don't drool till your keyboard is wet. Haha.

Oh yeah, after dinner at Kampachi, we headed to
Baskin Robbins to eat a slice of ice-cream cake.
Eric also decided to buy me
two more slices of Secret Recipe cakes,
Chocolate Banana & Yoghurt Cheese.
Yum-yum... Not that we cannot afford the
whole cake but we can't finish all by ourselves... :P

My Birthday - Part 1

Yup, it's my birthday today and I'm proud to annouce that! Haha. Today, my romantic Hubby Eric surprised me with a bouquet of beautiful pink roses and also DKNY Be delicious perfume! He got the florist to sent it to my working place. Well, of course all my other colleagues were so jealous because I got it like every year... LOL! Tonight we'll go dinner at 'dunno where' restaurant. He refused to tell me. I'll definately update you guys bout it. Truly, Eric never fails to make me happy everyday. He is like a clown! I love you baby...

Yummy Weekend!

It was definately a yummy weekend because on Saturday, Joanne (my sis) bought Eric & I a box of an exquisite Starbucks mooncake. It was yummo-licious. That box was so exquisite that it really looked like a jewellery box. It contained 4 delicious mooncakes. There were Green tea chocolate, Berrie Cheese, Hazelnut Latte & Tiramisu. Some of the fortunate youth got to try it and we are yet to taste Berrie Cheese soon. Thanks sis :D

On Sunday, lovely Nicki came to our church and also baked me a box of yummy chocolate cookies. It was delicious! Not bad for a girl who just started to bake not long ago. It was hilarious when she first started to bake. Nicki kept asking me what to do. But girlie, you did a great job! Enjoyed those cookies and we still have plenty more to munch. Shu Yi also gave me something. It was a pair of bling-bling earrings. She got that for my upcoming birthday and she was thoughful. Thanks Shu yi :) Oh yeah, we managed to snap few pictures of us at the church with Nicki's camera. Thanks again NICKI!

After church, we went for mission's meeting at Pas Cal's house. He asked us if we wanna drink and we said "Anything!" & "Whatever la!". Guess what? He had 'Anything?' and 'Whatever?' can drink!!! I won't be saying too much cause picture speaks a thousand words! All I wanna say that FUEL was really a ROCKING event! We had such an awesome time at the conference & concert. Everyone was 'fueled-up' for GOD and of course my Hubby Eric rocked so hard during the blues-solo! He really had fun playing along with the band :) I'm P.R.O.U.D to be Eric's wife! LOL! Rev. Celeste came to our house last Thursday to learn how to make scrapbook. She really had fun putting all the pieces together to make a beautiful page. I had fun teaching some cool techniques and we went through the process of choosing papers, colors & designing the template for the page. I managed to snap her pictures while she was concentrating making 'da page'. Hehe.

Mission Week

Last Saturday, our church (KAOG) organized a mission fest. We held this event because we want to raise fund for the pastors in rural areas as a token of appreciation. It takes alot of hard work to do God's work out there. I was told to incharge of the face & nail painting booth. Yvonne & Rachel helped me with the face painting booth. Wherelse, Jamie & Shu Yi was showing off their skills at the nail painting booth. The booth were just side by side. We had fun painting people's faces and nails. Haha. Today, Darshini a.k.a wacko girl dropped by our crib because she asked a favor from me (Jessy) to edit her family pictures. And of course she loved it so much that she has to bring more for me to edit. Haha! It's always my pleasure to help, girly. After all those editing, we went to the pool to snap some pictures. It was my idea and it was really fun though it was just an hour half outing. We also decided to have a cup of tea BUT ended up we went to Secret Recipe and ate children's meal. Chicken burger with alpha fries & also manage to stuff ourselves with a slice of chocolate indulgence. Oh yeah, we managed building two words out of the alpha fries. FARTY HUGS!

I've a really cute nephew and his name is Constantine Nicholas Christopher. Glamourous name huh? He is so adorable. He is mixed parentage of Indonesian, Dutch & Chinese. He was born last August eventhough his mum was just 7 months pregnant. He was a premature baby but he is a healthy boy. Just that he weighs lighter compared to other babies. He looks very much like my brother, Nicholas Herman Christopher. We love you Constantine!

Blown-up Charger..

Ever seen a blown-up charger? Well I have just got myself one, hehe...

One of the capacitors in my Sony Ericsson charger blew - the charger literally exploded! It launched the front cover (see background of pic) to the other side of my bedroom while emitting some smoke, my wife could hear it from the other room.

"Bam"!.. Or, okay... maybe it sounded more like "Buff!", haha... It left burn marks on the board and the slot that once held the capacitor is now bare.

And... of course it doesn't work anymore, I guess it is time for a new phone :)

We preserve our memories in many ways. It could be in many forms - photographing, journalling or blogging. I've a special way of keeping my memories. Not a norm thing in Malaysia yet. Wanna know what's the fuss?? I scrapbook my memories. It's really fun and it's a very creative way to display the pictures and also some journalling on it. Below are the pages I've made since end last year. Scrapbooking is still new to me so in total I've created 8 pages. More to come. The papers & embellishments that I used are acid-free papers, it'll not ruin or fade the pictures. We're talking about keeping our memories in decades. Last Saturday, it was Lavina & Llyod's engagement dinner. Both of them looked very nice and happy together! It was also a night where we met our close ex-classmates again and also get to chat with new friends.

We updated each other of our life, work, etc. I really wished that we have more time to chat. Anyways, it was great to meet you girls again. It's always fun to be silly and just being ourselves like how we always used to do in high school! One thing for sure, all of us have grown-up :) Looking forward for Lavin's wedding on the August 25, 2007.

Movie Date

Don't get me wrong when you read the title... people! I wasn't dating other guys k? Hehe. Well I went movie date with my boss's boys, Zairy & Razin. Before the school holidays begin, I asked them whether they're interested to watch Flushed Away. Razin was very excited and couldn't wait to go for it. Before we set a date, he kept reminding his mum, Alia and I when is the actual movie date. A persistent boy he is, I could say.

A day before the movie, Razin asked me what to bring. He actually took a piece of paper to jot it down and asked me how to spell words. Isn't that cute? We watched Flushed Away at the Mines, a nearby shopping mall. Razin wore his glasses too just for the movie, afraid that he couldn't see well. He normally refused to wear it. Gosh, he is so cute especially with his cheeky smile. All I could say is three of us enjoyed ourselves very much and looking forward again for another movie date. Happy Feet boys?

Today marked the first day of school final-term break and I'm looking forward for a good and relax 7 weeks break!

Just before all the kids took a break from school, we had birthday celebration for Razin & Amirul Hazim. Razin is my boss's son and Amirul Hazim is my year 5 student. They're such a cutie pie and they have juicy cheecks. You feel like pinching it whenever you get to see them! Sorry boys :D

Both their parents bought them cakes and it happened to be the same kind of cake from the Disney movie "Cars". It show how much these boys enjoy playing with cars.
I could see that everyone enjoyed themselves and that includes the teachers too :)

"Teacher Jessy, you're wearing crocs!" cried Haziq. "I have one too. Dark blue colour. Afiq has a red one," he continued. Haziq also told me that his mum, dad, sister and aunt (Afiq's mum) have crocs too. Wow, I actually have buddies! That was so cool. I told him to wear it to school so I can snap it and post at our blog.

Last Friday, both Haziq and Afiq wore their crocs, happily running around and expecting me to wear mine but I forgotten all about it. Poor them! I apologized to them and told them to wear it again on Monday. Of course, physco them a little that crocs are comfy and does not need any tying or buckling. Resignation = Promotion

How true!

For some unfortunate people (which is actually represented by a vast majority of the workforce available, in other words - you & me), it is not until some drastic measures are demonstrated that our employer would realize that they have actually been (long) taking our contribution to their organization for granted..

I tendered my resignation letter to the human resource on the 15th of September, reason:

Too much work for too little money
Too much high-leveled commitment required for a low position
Chaotic back-end processes (I guess it is the same elsewhere.. haha..)

HR came back to me a couple of days back (around 4th Oct) with the following letter..

The promotion & the increase in $$ did satisfy me, it matched the offers from other prospective employers as well. After praying bout it, puttin' in some thought, & discussing with Jessy, etc.. I have decided to stay for at least a while more until it is really due time for me to leave.

Actually, my bosses are great people, they have taught me a great deal of things since my first day of work. I've always looked up to them, they are my big know-it-all-brothers. It is just that the work load has been increasing ever since I joined.. and now, (not counting my bosses) I am actually the only person left (& surviving) in my sub-department (Product Pricing & Development).

Nevertheless, I thank God for giving clear directions in my life, I will seize every opportunity to fulfill my calling as an obedient Christian..

It was indeed a happy day! It concludes the 26th year of her life and kicks-off the 27th. We believe many great things are going to take place this year!

This year round, I arranged for delivery of flowers & gifts to her workplace, it appeared to be a very pleasant surprise! :) The pics below would tell you much more:

I could tell that she really liked the pair of croc shoes (fuschia in color, the lighting condition above kinda' distorted the appearance of actual color). But for other people - I don't know, either they will fall in love with its funkiness or hate it outright.
